Light floods the gallery: the artwork takes on a whole new quality.
Here, the art of light is a family secret.
Hesbé Bolzonello
Sharing light
Bolzonello: Provençal flowers and landscapes
Roger Bolzonello started painting in the North of France at age 13.
After painting flower arrangements and Provençal landscapes, he finally set up his studio in Saint-Paul de Vence.
Hesbé learned oil painting from her father.
A vibrant bond with Provence
The two artists share a taste for painting and a powerful bond with Mediterranean landscapes.
You can just imagine the flowers they paint shivering in the wind, or a shadow slipping from one wall to the next. This effect is created through perfect mastery of the impressionist technique called impasto.
Hesbé: landscape-based emotion
Full of light and authenticity, Hesbé offers a new take on the landscapes she paints.
Her work is full of new effects, sensitivity and emotion.
The artist's colourfoul studio perfectly reflects her approach.
